MODEL SENATE
The Model Senate Project was a way for us students to not only study government but also US history. We began by looking at the creation of the constitution, transitioning into one of the more importnant amendments in our constitution, The Voting Rights Act of 1965. Once we were done studying the constitution, government branches and their checks and balances abilities, we moved into research on climate change, immigration and college debt. We then moved into our senate potions, writing legislation and speeches to pass bills during committee and final model senate meetings.
