Hexaflexagon
A hexaflexagon is a three dimensional shape that can rotate between color patterns and lines of symmetry. The shape has four color patterns. Each color pattern should line up on each panel to create symmetrical # dimensional shape. On my Hexaflexagon, I have a side with just colors, A side with a stripe design, A side with a blob design, and a side with triangles . A great example a of a symmetrical design, Is my blob. This is because on each end of the triangle the blobs line up to create a design. That is the main purpose of a Hexaflexagon.
The the side of my Hexaflexagon that pleases me most is the blob one, this is because I really enjoy the simplicity of the design, and how the symmetry also works with the colors to create in my opinion, something appealing to the eye. The symmetry refinements I would make if I knew as well as I do now about the Hexaflexagons, would be to make sure all the shapes line up to create a design that is symmetrical and appealing to the eye. I would really refine this On the striped side of my Hexaflexaggon. The biggest thing I learned about myself is that I truly dislike coloring, I really have issues with coloring inside the lines, some would assume thats a good quality to have, but im going to just go ahead and assume that I failed preschool.
Snail Trail Graphite Lab
This is a design that I created with my snail trail lab.
In this project I learned that I love creating designs that are symmetrical and have order, but that are also creative and colorful. I hope also to improved on my design skills from this project
In this project we learned alot about lines of symmetry and how to crete a shape were all sides are symmetrical. We also learned about reflections through a shape to create one in the most symmetrical and parallel way.
The Burning Tent Lab
The purpose of this assignment, was to find the quickest and closest way from the camper to the river, and then to the tent to out out the fire.
Incorrect way
This way is incorrect because it does not show the shortest distance from camper, to river, to tent. It shows the same exact locations as the correct one, but it doesn't have the correct angles to make sure that the distance from each to the river is not the shortest possible distance. One is shorter than the other, but they are no both the most efficient ways to get the water from and to each point.

Correct way
This is acceptable because it shows how to get from the river to the tent the quickest way in order to do this you have to find the were the too lines meet together with the smallest angles. this will make the too trails the shortest possible distance making it an overall the most desired way to get t o the tent.

Two Rivers
There is a sewage plant at the point where two rivers meet. You're going to build a house, upstream from the plant. You want the house to be at least 5 miles from the sewage plant. You visit each river to but being lazy you don't want to walk as far. You want to minimize the distance you have to walk to fish.
