Firstly I want to say that the internship was an incredible learning experience and that I think that what students learn from it can possibly be more applicable than what you can learn inside the walls of a classroom. I personally know I learned a lot. I had to take on a lot of responcibility and commit to deadlines and work hours. I was there when I was expected to be there and did what I was expected too. I know that sounds very formal, and like it wasn't fun, but that's not the case at all, those are just two basic expectations of the real world. I had a lot of room for freedom and creative personality, however i what I did. I was guided and helped with my project but in the end I was the one making the decisions and creating my project. That to me was the greatest learning experience and gift that everyone I worked with gave to me. I had respect and responsibility
For my final project I drew inn the furniture pieces and created 3D models to demonstrate what the final inner working of the building would look like, and then had my last pin up. I received a lot of great feedback and learned so much from the people I work with about how to organize information and the ways that we can communicate our ideas. However, in the end they said they really enjoyed what I had done and that it was a pleasure working with me.
Thank you so much Saiber Saiber for working with me and being incredible mentors not only throughout my inter ship, but throughout the rest of my working life. I really loved working with you.
If I were to give advice to the up coming group of juniors about LINK I would say to follow your passion, and work hard. Because if you are passionate, your mentors will really see it and respect what you are doing for them. That way everyone enjoys everyone and you will have an incredible LINK internship, just like I did.
Thanks for following me on the journey!!
